Description
This Czech-language book examines the philosophical and historical meaning of geopolitics within world history, from the First World War to its present culmination. It identifies the principal coordinates that developed during the 20th century as a continuous geopolitical confrontation between democratic civilization and totalitarianism, and describes how this conflict decisively characterizes contemporary world history. At its core is an analysis of the current “second Cold War,” essentially an already global conflict between most states of democratic civilization and a closely cooperating, totalitarian-oriented global axis consisting of Russia, Iran, China and North Korea. The conflict is currently taking its most dramatic form in Russia’s war of conquest against Ukraine and Iran’s war against Israel and the democratic world through proxy terrorist groups.
