Description
The tabletop society around Vladimír Macura (initially including Petr Čornej, Jan Lukeš, Petr Kovařík, and Vladimír Novotný, later expanded to include Jasna Hloušková, Pavel Janoušek, Antonín Kostlán, and others) began in the 1980s, at Macura's urging, to write "tabletop memories." Under the title Dopijem a pudem, an original memoir prose gradually emerged, which Vladimír Macura continued to supplement and write even in the 1990s as the only member of the tabletop society. Childhood in Ostrava, the 1960s, and a specific perspective on the normalization period are complemented by memories of November 1989, seen through the academic environment. What was the Baltic Union and who belonged to Klikoživ? And what did Jankovič's little dwarf say? The memoirs of Vladimír Macura are published for the very first time and are supplemented by a representative selection from Macura's poetry (in addition to the collection Nehodný kos, also other verses from the 1960s and 1970s). The edition was prepared by Michal Jareš.
