Description
The twenty-fifth volume of the Biographical Dictionary of the Czech Lands presents readers with biographies of personalities whose names begin with the letters Hl–Hol, and represents another installment of an extensive encyclopedic project created in collaboration with over a hundred authors from academic, university, and other institutions under the guidance of the Biographical Department of the Institute of History of the Czech Academy of Sciences. As part of the project, approximately 25,000 biographies of personalities from all eras and fields of human activity connected to the Czech lands (regardless of ethnic origin) will be processed, who were born, lived, and worked in the specified territory, even if they only spent part of their lives there.
