Description
Automated and autonomous vehicles (AAV) are full of promises for a better, more efficient, safer, cleaner, and fairer future. However, the increasing level of automation leading to full autonomy is associated with a number of problems. Automated Transport: Technical and Humanitarian Aspects is the first systematic treatise in the Czech language that takes seriously the interdisciplinary nature of the challenges associated with AAV. A total of eleven chapters by Czech and foreign experts will guide readers through important areas of technical and humanitarian reflection on AAV. Together, they form part of a mosaic, the individual pieces of which create a complex picture of automated and autonomous transport in light of various disciplines, from cultural history, computer science, physics and sensor technology, safety theory, to ethics, psychology, law, and urbanism.
