The first part of this book showed that the communication system based on images was created by the expanding modern human (Homo sapiens) in the Paleolithic of Europe, and that it happened relatively quickly, at that stage of its evolution and in the context of groundbreaking historical events. The second part follows the further development of art on the world’s peripheries, aware that in central civilizational areas, it is meanwhile evolving into a new quality – a communication system of writing. The book primarily examines the phenomenon of rock art in Africa, Australia, and America in the projection of its development, dating, content, and ethnological record. Such comparisons will confirm the uniqueness and potential of old Europe, not only for the temporal depth of its art but also for its substantive content.
