The three-part publication One Hundred Student Evolutions. University Students of 1989. Biographical Narratives in a Time-Lapse Perspective continues a project from the late 1990s, Students at the Time of the Fall of Communism in Czechoslovakia – Biographical Interviews. Just like twenty years ago, it focuses on student activists from 1989 and, thanks to the (newly utilized) time-lapse oral history method, captures the influence of the formative experience of the November Revolution in 1989 on the life paths of former students in their personal, professional, and possibly political lives. In the first volume, the authors present the results of the time-lapse project. In the introductory part of the book, they clarify methodological and technical approaches, while the following three interpretative chapters capture various types of relationships among the former striking students – for example, whether they consider themselves a homogeneous student generation of 1989 after twenty or thirty years, how they reflect on the 'nineties,' or what their own experiences from the 1990s and the current political and social developments are. The content of the second and third volumes consists of a collection of 91 editorially revised (out of a total of 100 recorded) interviews, which represent a valuable source not only for examining November 1989 but also for the period that...
