Description
The twenty-first issue of the Biographical Dictionary of the Czech Lands presents readers with biographies of personalities whose names begin with the letters H–Ham, and represents another volume of an extensive encyclopedic project created in collaboration with more than a hundred authors from academic, university, and other institutions under the leadership of the Biographical Department of the Institute of History of the Czech Academy of Sciences. Within this framework, approximately 25,000 biographies of personalities from all eras and fields of human activity connected with the Czech lands will be processed—regardless of ethnic origin—who were born, lived, and worked in the specified territory, even if they only spent part of their lives there.
