A practical field guide to the flora of Ladakh, a distinctive semi-desert region of the Indian Trans-Himalayas. The book covers both the geology and climate of Ladakh, as well as the history of its botanical exploration, phytogeography, and vegetation zoning. Due to species overlap, the guide is widely applicable in the mountains of western Tibet, Kashmir, or Nepal.
