Description
The twentieth volume of the Biographical Dictionary of the Czech Lands presents readers with biographies of personalities whose names begin with the letters Go–Gz, and represents another installment of an extensive encyclopedic project that is being developed in collaboration with more than a hundred authors from academic, university, and other institutions under the guidance of the Biographical Department of the Institute of History of the Czech Academy of Sciences. Within this framework, approximately 25,000 biographies of personalities from all eras and fields of human activity connected with the Czech lands – regardless of ethnic origin – who were born, lived, and worked in the specified territory, even if they spent only part of their lives there, will be processed.
