Description
The new volume of the edition presents identification keys for two families of beetles that have not yet been created for our territory. It also includes species from neighboring countries, allowing for the identification of beetles across Central Europe. For both families, methods of collection are developed, detailed descriptions of individual preparation methods are provided, including descriptions of modern techniques for preparing chitinized parts of the genitalia, as well as methods for preserving collection specimens. The processing of keys for females is groundbreaking, as their precise identification has been nearly impossible until now. Detailed visual appendices are available for the identification of individual species. The ecological requirements of the species are also described, and analyses of their diets are published for the first time. All findings are recorded on vector maps of distribution for each species.
