Description
The book loosely follows the previous work "Frozen Evolution or It's Different, Mr. Darwin" and presents the theory of frozen evolution for the first time in its entirety. How can, according to this theory, sexually reproducing species evolutionarily respond to natural and artificial selection? And what happens next? Why does the pace of evolution gradually decrease? While half a billion years ago in the Cambrian, entirely new body plans and thus new animal phyla emerged, and 50 million years later at least new classes, such significant events have never occurred again later. The book shows that the theory of frozen evolution can explain a multitude of phenomena that traditional evolutionary theories have struggled to address. The book is intended for both experts and the general public.
