S botanikem v tropech I - Venezuela – Studnička Miloslav (2011)

A work accompanied by photographs, composed of stories motivated by small adventures related to natural science, primarily botanical research in the tropics of Latin America (Brazil, Mexico, Nicaragua, Venezuela). Many previously unpublished scientific communications or unresolved, very interesting questions or surprising ethnobotanical connections are grafted onto the form of fiction. The popular-scientific character of the text is intentionally somewhat obscured by the narrative or the lyricism of enchanting yet relatively inaccessible places in very exotic nature. The narrator is both a geobotanist and a worker at a prominent Czech botanical garden, a person who literally lives alongside the plants now being studied in distant lands and described in their natural environment.
