Description
Like the previous two volumes, the third part of the anticipated seven-volume series on Czech and Moravian primeval reserves presents the results of repeated examinations of both woody and herbaceous layers and soil conditions, this time in the reserves of Šumava and Český les. The summary results of the research clarify the historical development of the reserves as well as the current dynamics of the studied ecosystem. The work also derives management principles for variously influenced reserves in comparable habitats for the future. It is supplemented with numerous tables, graphs, photographs, and maps. It is published in both Czech and English.
