This unique book connects movement, speech and imagination in a natural, simple and joyful way. Short rhymes accompanied by easy movement exercises support children’s development and their relationship with the body, rhythm, words and space. The exercises help strengthen body awareness, coordination, agility and balance, while selected movements stimulate the brain, support the connection between the hemispheres, the integration of primary reflexes, and the development of fine and gross motor skills, proprioception and sensory integration. They can also help prevent sensory overload and improve children’s ability to cope with challenging situations. The exercises can be readily incorporated into school activities and help children with their attention. The rhymes were created to support children with autism spectrum disorders, but they also bring joy to neurotypical children at home, in nursery school, at school and in therapy. Each rhyme is accompanied by a colourful little dragon representing one of the elements: earth, water, air, fire and the universe. Through them, movement becomes a game and poetry a tool for developing speech, motor skills and attention. The contents are in Czech.
