Psychedelics in the Czech Republic and Slovakia is a collection of interviews mapping the experiences, perspectives, and visions of thirty leading Czech and Slovak scientists, therapists, artists, entrepreneurs, activists, and representatives of legislation.

Despite the global psychedelic renaissance, experts believe that scientific research in this area still has a long way to go. However, the results of clinical studies are very promising, both in the field of mental health and in the treatment of certain chronic and neurodegenerative diseases. In the 1960s, Czechoslovakia was one of the pioneering centers of psychedelic research. Today, the Czech Republic is a global epicenter of progress in research, therapy, legislation, art, and culture. What was once part of an overlooked underground is gradually coming into the public spotlight.

After decades of stigmatization and criminalization, psychedelics are once again on the verge of being integrated into psychiatric and psychotherapeutic practice. This book therefore addresses key questions surrounding the rebirth of psychedelics:
