Solo travel instead of sitting in cafes. At 64 years old, Margot Flügel-Anhalt rides a motorcycle for the first time in her life and dares to embark on a great, adventurous journey. From her small village in northern Hesse, she sets off to her dream destination, the Pamir Highway in Central Asia. She spends 117 days on the road, covering 18,064 kilometers across 18 countries, powered by 17 horses. Technical breakdowns, heavy falls, total exhaustion – the magnitude of the challenges is matched by the kindness of the people she meets along the way, making her journey ultimately unforgettable.
