Description
This English-language manga tells the untold story of Sherlock Holmes’s greatest rival, Moriarty. Before becoming Sherlock’s enemy, Moriarty fights London’s unfair class system by ensuring that corrupt members of the nobility get their comeuppance. In late nineteenth-century Great Britain, which rules over a quarter of the world, nobles live in comfort while the working class labours endlessly. When Albert James Moriarty’s upper-class family adopts two boys from a lower-class background, the cruelty they suffer at the family’s hands strengthens Albert’s hatred of the nobility into which he was born. He asks the older boy, a genius with a killer instinct, to help him rid the world of evil, beginning with Albert’s own family. But even the best-intentioned plans can spiral out of control, and Moriarty’s dream of a more just and equal world may turn him into either a hero or a monster.
