Description
In the not-too-distant future, humanity has cured hunger, disease, war, crime and even death. Scythes are now the only people who can end a life, and they must do so to keep the population under control. Citra and Rowan are chosen as apprentices to a scythe, although neither wants the role. Forced to train together, they must master the skill of taking a life while competing for a single position. Then they discover that the winning apprentice’s first task will be to kill the loser.
