Description
This comic novel follows J., George and Harris, accompanied by Montmorency, their mischievous and irascible fox terrier, as they take a boating holiday along the Thames. Hoping to escape the weary workaday world and improve their health, the three friends are ill prepared for the escapades, difficulties and mishaps they encounter along the way. Their incompetent adventures are magnified to epic proportions by J.’s narration, which gives the story its endearing freshness and timeless comedy. This edition includes illustrations by A. Frederics and an afterword by David Stuart Davies.
