Loren Calla has always been ordinary. As a human trying to survive in a city designed for vampires, werewolves, witches and other supernatural creatures, she expects her life to remain simple, predictable and as safe as possible. That changes when she narrowly escapes abduction by Darkslayers, supernatural bounty hunters with the Sight, a magical ability that lets them see a person’s aura, while one of her friends is taken in her place. When more women begin disappearing and some are later found dead, Loren and Darien’s search for answers leads them deep into Angelthene’s corrupt underworld, where they uncover a dark secret threatening to unravel their world. When tragedy strikes, Loren learns that love can make an ordinary person do extraordinary things. The novel features an enemies-to-lovers and forbidden-love romance.
