Description
A body is discovered in Berlin, and a conspiracy in which every side is compromised threatens to end in murder. Army Criminal Investigation Agents Scott Brodie and Maggie Taylor reunite in Berlin to investigate the killing of fellow agent Harry Vance, an accomplished counterterrorism specialist whose body is found in a city park in the heart of Berlin’s Arab refugee community. Authorities suspect Islamic terrorism, but Brodie and Taylor soon believe the case is connected to something more complex. As they trace Vance’s movements, they uncover the conflicts and contradictions of modern Germany, from the legacy of the Cold War to the growing neo-Nazi threat. German and American authorities monitor their investigation, while American intelligence agents fear the pair learned too much about covert US operations during their previous mission in Venezuela. Brodie and Taylor ultimately discover that Vance’s murder was only the prelude to a far more sinister event, unless they can solve the mystery in time to prevent it.
