The workbook for the English textbook Hot Spot is designed for further practice and reinforcement, particularly of grammar and vocabulary. At the end, there is a section called Extra Practice, aimed at providing additional activities for students who finish their work early, known as Fast Finishers, so that the teacher can focus on students who are still completing the previous task. The first 3 lessons focus on teaching grammar and vocabulary, while the 4th lesson of each module develops language skills and draws its topics from various cultures – British, American, as well as from non-English speaking countries. At the end of each module, there is a review lesson and also a section called Extra Special, which includes fun activities such as songs, games, and mini-projects. This way, the teacher can easily liven up the lesson with interesting activities without having to prepare them themselves.
