Global Elementary: Digital Whiteboard Software – Clandfield Lindsay (2010)

This digital whiteboard software accompanies Global, a six-level English course for adult learners aged over 20, suitable for universities and language schools. The course addresses adult students through its choice of topics, texts and activities. Its multimedia components include the Student’s Book and eWorkbook, audio recordings, videos, interactive exercises, the answer key, a grammar overview and other resources. Global Digital integrates the coursebook pages and these materials for use with a computer and projector or an interactive whiteboard, allowing teachers to control the complete course from one place. The information-rich topics, Global English sections written especially for the course by Professor David Crystal, and Global Voices recordings feature both native and non-native speakers of English. The eWorkbook supports self-study at the learner’s own pace and includes listening and audio files for portable media players. The course also includes a Teacher’s Book with methodology essays, a Teacher’s Resource CD-ROM with tests and worksheets, and other digital components. The course has received two awards for adult English teaching materials, one for the printed coursebook and one for its electronic workbook.
