The elementary level of this three-level, topic-based vocabulary course helps learners acquire and practise the words they need at each CEFR level, based on the Oxford 3000. Short, clear presentations and extensive practice build confidence in using new vocabulary. The book contains 100 units, including 20 extra units, covering a wide range of topics and everyday situations. Learners study more than 2,400 words and phrases, practise vocabulary in context and develop vocabulary-learning skills. The course presents and practises the words, phrases and lexical grammar needed to listen, speak, read and write confidently. It is suitable for classroom use and self-study, and includes one year’s access to the Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary app, which provides pronunciation, pronunciation exercises and further information about word meanings and usage.
