Description
Janice collects other people’s stories. She cannot remember what started the collection, but as she cleans sinks, dusts sitting rooms and defrosts fridges, people tell her their stories, and she gathers them in. When Janice begins cleaning for Mrs B, a shrewd and tricky woman in her nineties, she meets someone who wants to hear her story. Janice insists that she is the keeper of stories, not someone with a story of her own, or at least not one she can share. But Mrs B is no fool and knows there is more to Janice than meets the eye. What is she hiding? After all, doesn’t everyone have a story to tell?
