Description
The Criminal Procedure Code is a code of procedural criminal law that comprehensively regulates the norms of criminal proceedings. The purpose of the Criminal Procedure Code is to regulate the actions of authorities involved in criminal proceedings so that crimes are properly investigated and their perpetrators are justly punished according to the law. The proceedings must also contribute to the strengthening of legality, to the prevention and suppression of criminal activity, to educating citizens in the spirit of strict adherence to laws and the rules of civil coexistence, as well as to the honorable fulfillment of obligations to the state and society. Assisting in achieving the purpose of criminal proceedings is both a right and, according to the provisions of this law, an obligation of citizens.
