EUGY 3D Cardboard Puzzle - Sea Otter

Discover a new dimension of DIY fun with this eco-conscious EUGY 3D model, designed in New Zealand to encourage creativity while offering a more environmentally friendly choice. Building it promotes consideration for the environment and highlights how exceptional yet vulnerable species in nature can be. The sea otter model captures the playfulness, intelligence and relaxed expression of one of the most popular marine animals, with its back-floating position, shells in its paws and curious gaze. Sea otters often rest and swim on their backs, have exceptionally dense fur to protect them from the cold and can eat up to 40% of their body weight each day to maintain their body temperature. They sometimes place food on their stomachs and open it with their paws or a stone, and some even keep a favourite stone as a small tool. They can hold on to or wrap themselves around kelp so that currents do not carry them away, and they play an important role in the marine ecosystem by helping regulate animals such as sea urchins. The model encourages patience, logical thinking, fine motor skills, concentration and screen-free educational fun for children and families, while introducing children to animals and nature. The collection includes dozens of animals from around the world, and the model is made from recyclable material. The package contains 36 numbered pieces, non-toxic glue, decorative eyes and step-by-step instructions. Suitable for children aged six and over.
