Description
Together with her husband, she came to build a utopian world in the midst of pure nature. Helena, an aspiring doctor and also the wife of the director of a synthetic fiber factory, will soon give birth, and her family is looking forward to a rosy future in a modern city that is rising in the foothills of the Slovak Tatra Mountains. However, all illusions and thoughts of the future are soon overshadowed by the discovery of a dead newborn – a hermaphrodite. Stubborn and empathetic, Helena needs to find out what happened for the safety of her own child and refuses to settle for the suspiciously quick solution.... A psychological detective drama directed by Matěj Chlupáček and written by Mira Šifra, inspired by the true history of intersex people in the 1930s, was adapted into book form by Jiří Walker Procházka.
