Young Blanka of Valois, cousin of the French king, does not resist the diplomatically arranged marriage to Czech prince Václav, the future King Charles IV, as she knows that, as a noble girl, a politically advantageous marriage awaits her. Moreover, she is already acquainted with the Czech prince from the royal court. However, circumstances will keep the young couple apart for a long time. And when Blanka can finally travel to her husband in the Kingdom of Bohemia, she realizes that she is about to meet a man she actually does not know.
