Description
The historical detective story takes readers to 12th century medieval England. When Rosamund, hailing from a noble Welsh family, meets King Henry II of England, her charm immediately captivates the monarch, and a romantic love soon blossoms into a passionate affair. Henry's wife, Queen Eleanor of Aquitaine, observes the unfolding events with growing jealousy and concern. At the king's request, Rosamund retreats to the Benedictine monastery of Godstow near Oxford, where Henry regularly visits her through a specially dug secret passage. However, soon unexplained murders begin to occur there. Is Queen Eleanor of Aquitaine involved? That is what Rosamund's friend Grace wants to find out, but in doing so, she exposes herself to mortal danger.
