Marek 'Terence' Vráz is awakened in the middle of the night by desperate banging on his front door. Behind it, he finds a frightened journalist colleague who, fearing for her life, begs him for help. She claims to have just witnessed the police kill an unarmed man. Because her identity is known, she justifiably fears that she may be next. Although Terence is aware of the enemy the woman is up against, he decides to do everything he can to get her out of danger. Even at the cost of possibly risking his own life.
