A historical biographical novel from the 17th century tells the story of the charming and educated Elizabeth Stuart, daughter of English King James I. When she married Frederick of the Palatinate, the future King of Bohemia, she had no idea what adventure awaited her. Frederick's reign in Bohemia lasted only a single year, after which the 'Winter King' had to flee the country under tumultuous circumstances. However, Elizabeth remained faithfully by her beloved husband's side until his unexpected death.
