Description
This Czech-language historical mystery audiobook follows the nobleman Raimund of Pušperk, who accompanied Eliška Přemyslovna to her wedding to Jan Lucemburský in Speyer. He returns to Bohemia with the royal couple and, after Jan’s celebrated coronation, finally heads home to his castle of Pušperk in the foothills of Šumava. To his horror, he finds the castle completely deserted: his wife Voršila and daughter Anna have vanished, while the remaining inhabitants have been murdered. Raimund discovers only their mutilated corpses. Desperate, he turns to Petr of Rožmberk, chamberlain of the Kingdom of Bohemia, who recommends the royal judge Melichar of Roupov. Melichar and his assistant Božetěch try to discover who massacred the people of Pušperk and what happened to Voršila and Anna. Have they been abducted, and why? Will they manage to free them and arrest the murderers?
