In an old shack on the outskirts of city A., the dead body of a neglected man is found. At first glance, it seems that yet another homeless person has drunk himself to death, but the situation soon begins to complicate. Journalist Marek Vráz, known as Terence, is drawn into the search for a man whose end is as mysterious as his entire life was. Why did he come to city A.? Who was he hiding from under a false identity? What led the pathologist to put a significant question mark next to one of the items during the autopsy of his body? Terence tries to find answers to all these questions, even though he suspects that uncovering the truth sometimes means paying too high a price.
