Description
The loose continuation of the historical detective story Death Wears Red Boots takes place again in medieval Prague, in December 1399. Václav from the Black Horse, the deputy mayor of Old Town Prague, is solving more cases. He has a lot on his plate: besides the disappearance of the bailiff Vohnout, a fire in the council hall, disarray in the municipal treasury, and searching for the culprits, he must deal with a number of other smaller or larger problems. He is also trying to uncover the identity of the mysterious jurors, who are apparently behind the attack on the bishop's envoy, and expose the frauds of the alchemist with a bad reputation. To top it all off, Václav is occasionally secretly attacked by his wife Kateřina with her hidden feminine wiles, who is longing for new clothes for the anticipated coronation...
