Description
In Bohemia, a dramatic situation arises before the Hussite storms in 1402–1403. King Wenceslas IV is stripped of power by his brother Sigismund and ultimately imprisoned in Vienna, while the land is ravaged by nomadic Cumans and a civil war rages between the supporters of Wenceslas and Sigismund. The deputy mayor Wenceslas from the Black Horse is removed from office by the new city council. He does not take this well at all, but eventually accepts an offer from the Brotherhood of the Hoop and Hammer, which wants to send him to Vienna. There, he is to attempt, with the help of the king's jester Kotrmelec, the knight Bohuňek, and former bailiffs, to free the king.
