Description
Ladislav, known as Pohrobek, was the last Czech king, whose veins carried the blood of his great-grandfather Charles IV, both Luxembourg and Přemyslid. He was born four months after the death of his father Albrecht of Habsburg as the fourth child of Alžběta of Luxembourg, daughter of Sigismund of Luxembourg, and after the death of his older brother Jiří, he became the sole heir to the Czech and Hungarian crowns. However, many other powerful figures were interested in them, and the historical novel full of intrigues, passions, struggles for power, but also deep feelings captures a dramatic period in the history of Central and Eastern Europe.
