Local theories even blame extraterrestrials, and fear begins to spread. Captain Exner arrives in the picturesque countryside in his carefully maintained Mercedes-Benz convertible from the early 1940s. Although he has come to spend several days at a cottage with a beautiful woman, he cannot ignore the mystery. Officers Vlček and Beránek accompany him as usual: clever, energetic, sarcastic, funny and hardworking companions to the impeccably dressed bon vivant intellectual with a doctorate in law and a weakness for women.
