Description
A tragicomic story of a young seventy-five-year-old, an eternal dreamer, storyteller, and joker (V. Brodský), who, unlike his beloved, worried wife (S. Zázvorková), refuses to come to terms with the fate of a resigned old age and lives his life as an endless challenge, where every day becomes a wonderful opportunity for a new adventure. Together with his loyal and devoted operetta friend, he brings theatrical roles into real life and fulfills his unfulfilled dreams. He appears as an emeritus member of the Metropolitan Operetta, buying castles, acting as an inspector, mountaineer, and benefactor. In a series of grateful comedic situations, full of subtle and dark humor, he battles with his wife for his carefreeness and independence, with which he continually proves what it means to have the ART OF LIVING. This film about friendship, love, and not dying is dedicated to Vlastimil Brodský.
