The ninth expansion of Carcassonne: Sheep and Shepherds brings shepherds into the game, who gather sheep in the meadows and earn points for them. However, they must be wary of the wolf, which can scatter their flock. Earn bonus points for flocks of geese and for vineyards that score with monasteries and gardens.

In the ninth expansion of Carcassonne, the landscape comes alive with animals and vineyards. Send your shepherds to take care of flocks of sheep and geese. The larger the flock, the more points for you. But be careful, once the wolf appears, all your sheep will scatter, and you will return with your shepherd empty-handed.

The Sheep and Shepherds expansion introduces new mechanisms that will transform your strategy. Instead of a standard follower, you can place your shepherd on the meadow. In each turn when you expand the meadow with your shepherd, you can choose to increase your flock by drawing tokens from the bag. However, when you decide to herd the sheep to safety, you will earn points for each sheep in your flock.

In addition to sheep, flocks of geese and vineyards also appear in the landscape. Flocks of geese will bring bonus points when you decide to herd the sheep into the sheepfold. Vineyards provide additional points when scoring monasteries or gardens adjacent to them…
