Description
This two-player strategy game casts players as commanders of legions competing to conquer key provinces and seize control of Rome within 20 minutes. It combines simple rules and a short playing time with difficult strategic decisions. Units are represented by tokens drawn from each player’s own bag, and victory depends not on card- or dice-driven battles but on carefully deploying resources along provincial borders to gain a decisive advantage. Optional modules add poison, powerful centurions and control posts. Poison limits the resources available to an opponent, centurions help secure greater influence at the right moment, and control posts provide a different valuable advantage instead of increased influence. The game also includes 10 tactical tiles for solo play.
