In this epic civilization board game, players lead an ancient civilization that begins as a single village at the edge of the world. They send settlers to explore the surrounding landscape, expand their borders and use infantry, cavalry and elephants to spread their power across the continents. A modular city-building system allows small settlements to grow into majestic metropolises, with academies fostering learning, fortresses protecting cities from raiders, temples where people worship their gods and wonders of the world rising in the most impressive cities. Players can reshape history by developing protected sources of wisdom or recruiting armies capable of crushing their enemies, while their nation board tracks new knowledge, techniques and skills. Clash of Cultures: Monumental Edition contains an updated and improved version of the epic civilization game Clash of Cultures, its Civilizations expansion and the Aztec Pack. The game includes 20 terrain tiles, four player boards, four reference boards, a round track, 38 event cards, 42 action cards, 32 task cards, eight wonder cards, 50 culture tokens, 60 mood tokens, a round marker, six exhaustion tokens, a first-player token, more than 200 cubes, nine twelve-sided dice, food, ore, wood, idea and gold markers, settlement, temple, fortress, academy, harbor and wonder figures, settler, infantry and ship figures, and a rulebook. Civilizations adds five terrain tiles, 14 nation boards, six task cards, 42 leader cards, 20 event cards, obelisk, marketplace and observatory figures, elephant and cavalry figures, leader figures and ship figures. The Aztec Pack contains an Aztec nation board and three Aztec leader cards.
