The more accurately you hit, the more points you earn. The game includes 180 large cards with 360 animals, a game board with a world map, and a 70-page book with descriptions of all the animals. In 2009, Fauna was nominated for the Spiel des Jahres award in Germany as the very first game with a knowledge element in history.
