A group of scientists is conducting exploratory drilling 11 kilometers beneath the ocean's surface in an underwater laboratory when an unexpected and devastating earthquake strikes. Norah (Kristen Stewart) and her colleague Rodrigo set out to search for other survivors. Together with Paul (T.J. Miller), the captain (Vincent Cassel), and several others, they desperately attempt to breach the ocean floor to reach a nearby station using deep-sea suits. However, the extreme water pressure and the darkness of the unexplored seabed are not the only things they have to fear... Something is lurking for them in the depths.
