Description
It's 1966 - the best era of pop music, and a band of worn-out DJs broadcasts from a ship in the North Sea on the waves of pirate radio, rock & pop 24 hours a day. At that time, eighteen-year-old Carl finds himself on board, where he experiences plenty of fun, but also life lessons. His mother thought that staying on the ship would straighten him out. A big mistake! The film directed and written by Richard Curtis (Notting Hill, Four Weddings and a Funeral, Love Actually) PIRATES OF THE WAVES is a brilliant comedy featuring some of the best pop music recordings, and starring Philip Seymour Hoffman, Bill Nighy, Nick Frost, Rhys Ifans, Tom Sturridge, and Kenneth Branagh.
