Description
The year is 1919. Mathilde is nineteen years old. Two years ago, her fiancé Manech went to the front in the Somme and, like many others, was killed "in the field of honor." At least that's what the official announcement says. But Mathilde refuses to believe it. She is sure that if Manech had died, she would have felt it. Guided by her intuition, she clings to the last glimmer of hope that connects her to her lover. The attempts of a former sergeant to convince her that Manech died in the trenches in "no man's land" along with four other men are in vain. Mathilde's journey is full of pitfalls and obstacles, but she is not afraid of them. Everything is possible for those who have the courage to confront fate.
