Description
This film moves between the past and the future, sanity and madness, dreams and reality, as it explores the mystery of the Twelve Monkeys. In 2035, most of the world’s population has been wiped out, Earth is uninhabitable, and the few survivors live uneasily in a devastated underground refuge. Volunteer Cole, played by Bruce Willis, and Dr Kathryn Railly, played by Madeleine Stowe, have only two clues to help them solve the mystery. Otherwise, humanity will be erased from the face of the Earth forever. The film also stars Brad Pitt and Christopher Plummer and is directed by Terry Gilliam.
