Description
Clint Eastwood has enriched his directing filmography with another film based on a true story. The film, named after the main protagonist Richard Jewell, returns to the year 1996, when during the XXVI Olympic Games in Atlanta, security agency worker Richard Jewell managed to save thousands of lives by discovering a backpack filled with explosives. However, from a initially celebrated hero, he later becomes the main suspect due to manipulative and misleading information from the media. The ensuing media campaign slowly destroys one man's heroism in the eyes of the nation, and along with the exhausting investigation by the FBI, it turns his previously peaceful life into a literal hell on earth.
