Description
August 2000. Naval exercises. Massive explosions shake the hull of the nuclear submarine, sending it to the bottom of the Barents Sea. A desperate race against time begins. For the men on board and their families. The rescue operation is complicated not only by the dilapidated equipment of the Northern Fleet but also by the Russian government's refusal to accept foreign aid. While 108 meters below the sea surface, the crew of the Kursk waits for rescue, their wives on land struggle against senseless bureaucracy and desperately try to find out what is happening to their loved ones.
