Description
August 2000. Naval exercises. The hull of the nuclear submarine is shaken by massive explosions that send it to the bottom of the Barents Sea. A desperate race against time begins. For the men on board and their families. The rescue operation is complicated not only by the dilapidated equipment of the Northern Fleet but also by the Russian government's refusal to accept foreign assistance. While the crew of the Kursk waits for rescue 108 meters below the sea surface, their wives on land struggle against senseless bureaucracy and desperately try to find out what is happening to their loved ones.
